Capsicum and peas rice in 4 steps

1. Chop the capsicum finely.
2. Saute jeera, capsicum, peas and 2 whole green chillies with some oil/ghee in a kadai.
3. Wash and soak the rice (whichever you prefer) in water for half an hour.
4. Combine all the ingredients and salt in a rice cooker pot and set it to cook. (too easy right?)

Hot brownie cake

 Ingredients:
  1. Chocolate powder - 4 tablespoons (i used Cadbury's hot chocolate powder)
  2. Maida / All purpose flour - 4 tablespoons
  3. Egg - 1 
  4. Sugar - 4 - 5 tablespoons
  5. Milk - 3 to 4 tablespoons 
  6. Vanilla essence - 1/4 tsp 
  7. Melted Butter - 3 tablespoons
  8. Nuts - cashews, walnuts, almonds, etc.
  9. Coffee mug
  10. Pressure cooker

 Method:
1. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl.
2. In anothe bowl add all the ingredients, mix and then pour the beaten egg and mix again to form a smooth batter. (make sure the butter is completely cool before you add the egg) You can add any nuts, tutti-fruti or m&m's at this stage.
3. Grease the mug and pour the smooth batter into the mug. 
4. Preheat the pressure cooker, place a pressure cooker on flame and place a separator and close the cooker with its lid. Remove the whistle as you wont need it during the entire process.
5. Place the cooker set up on high flame for 5 to 7 minutes.
6. Now open the pre-heated cooker and place the mug inside the cooker, on the separator and close the cooker with its lid.
7. Cook on low flame for 20 minutes or until the cake rises.
8. Remove the cake with by running a knife along the edges, place the mug upside down and serve hot.






 
 I made two cakes so i had to double all the ingredients. This is the first time i am baking a cake ever, and baking in a pressure cooker is something I've never tried before. I was surprised to see how easy, tasty and simple the procedure was. The pressure cooker does a very good job of making the cake light and fluffy, and I was surprised to see a nice crust on top of the cake.
